Darren is a retired Police Sergeant and was a Class One Advanced Driver during his 30 year service.  
 
He specialises in teaching pupils wanting automatic lessons and believes in creating a fun, stress-free environment when instructing ... having fun makes people relaxed and they learn more!  
 
He has been married for twenty-five years to Amanda and lives in Herne Bay. They have two grown-up children. He and his wife are slowly, but surely, working their way around the entire 630 miles of the South-West Coastal Path in their spare time ... doing it in both directions so as to not miss a bit.  
 
When not driving, Darren also teaches people how to sail ... he runs the Young Sailor Scheme at Herne Bay Sailing Club and, if that wasn’t enough instruction, also helps out at the Manston Spitfire Museum when he teaches people how to fly their Spitfire simulator and will soon be moving onto the Lancaster Bomber simulator as well!
 
Darren uses a VW Golf for instruction ... which is a little different to a Lancaster Bomber!
